February 1, 2008: The 2008 wheat crop got off to a good start last fall. The wheat that was planted in bean and milo stubble is very small but there is a good stand.

The chloride, sulfur, and herbicide has been applied to most all of the fields.

We are waiting for the ground to dry off so topdressing can be started. The balance of the nitrogen will be dribbled on to reduce it from being tied up on old crop residue. These rates will be varied within each field depending on the yield potential of each zone. You can view the pictures of the equipment used for this operation under "spray equipment".

March 28, 2004: The last week of March gave us .70" rain. Just what the wheat needs. It is growing fast and should be jointing sometime this week.

March 6,2004: The wheat is just comming out of dormancy. The first week of March, has recorded 3.1" of rain.
